Events & Schedule
The Octagon hosts events each year to pursue the achievement of goals in each of the Eight Proficiency areas. Our inaugural vital conversation was in the Philosophy of Human Existence and Health Care Policy, the 2009 conference on vitalism.
The work of The Octagon in health policy was recently noted in a report from the Institute for Alternative Futures (www.altfutures.org) entitled Chiropractic: 2025. In this scenario based futures oriented analysis the perspective advocated by The Octagon and Life University was noted and highlighted.
As a result the Octagon Conference 2013 has been re-envisioned and rescheduled. On September 12-14, 2013 a panel of invited participants will assemble on the campus of Life University to explore re-engineering the IAF scenario four with a goal of developing action steps that will facilitate the unfolding of the concepts expressed in scenario four.
On Saturday, September 14, 2013 the closing session of the conference will be opened to any and all interested parties for a presentation of the recommendations of the conferees. Additional information coming soon.
In 2012, the Octagon hosted a conference on Reimagining Healthcare: Making Health the Goal. For more information, please click here.
In 2011, the Octagon hosted a conference on Contemporary Scientific Paradigms. This took place Thursday through Saturday, April 14th-16th, 2011. The faculty and agenda are listed on the conference pages. For more information, please click here.
